Instructions for Apollo/Galileo Users

Creating a Message

As you saw earlier in the manual, clicking 'New Message' will open up a blank 'iMagic Message' screen with your chosen template as the backdrop.

Once you've clicked 'Email' (or 'Fax' if the faxing feature is available) from the 'iMagic Message' screen, your message gets passed to Mail Sender.

Run Relay

With a record in your CRS screen, this selection will Run Relay on the record and open up an 'iMagic Message' screen with (depending on which option you chose) the itinerary, invoice, or e-ticket receipt in it. All that's left to do at this point is insert the e-mail address (or fax number), add some personal notes, and click 'Email' or 'Fax'. See 'Finding E-mail addresses/Fax numbers' below for information on how to have iMagic look for e-mail addresses or fax numbers in your CRS and use them, so you don't even have to type in a customer's coordinates.

NOTE: Remember, in a 'blank' message, what you write directly on the screen will be transmitted by e-mail only. When faxing a 'non-itinerary' message, you should click on the 'Edit Itin' button of the iMagic Message screen and type in your message there.

Finding E-Mail addresses\Fax numbers

Using an RMU entry in the PNR, you can place the e-mail address (or fax number) of the recipient in a remark field so that it will be included in the body of your itinerary.

E-Mail addresses:

iMagic scans the exported remarks (RMU) of your itinerary (or invoice) for a line containing -EMAIL- followed by the client's Email address.

example:-EMAIL-yourclient@theirdomain.com

If your CRS does not let you use the '@' symbol in a remark, simply replace it with an asterisk (*). iMagic will find that and replace it with the '@' before sending.

iMagic will also look for CCs in a remark field. This is put in the same as above, except to specify a CC address in remarks use -CC-. Make sure that each e-mail address you want to use is on a seperate remark line, with no other information in each remark.

example:-CC-yourclient@theirdomain.com

Fax numbers:

iMagic scans the exported remarks (RMU) of your itinerary (or invoice) for a line containing -FAX- followed by the client's fax number as you would dial it (including the 1 for long distance calls and with no dashes in the number) and a period at the end.

example:-FAX-12345678.

NOTE: The CC option does not apply to fax numbers.

Note: iMagic will remove these remarks from the body of the message before it is sent to the recipient(s).

Apollo\Galileo Options

Title of Apollo\Galileo screen

This is the title that iMagic looks for (in the title bar of your reservation screen) in order to communicate with your Apollo\Galileo screen. The default setting is 'FocalPoint' and should not have to be changed. You should only change this if you notice that iMagic is having problems. To change this, uncheck the 'Locked' option and write in the name that appears in the top bar of your Apollo\Galileo screen and then re-check the 'Locked' option.

Note: Whatever you change must be written exactly as it appears in the title bar of you CRS screen, as this is case-sensitive.

Auto Prepend

If this is checked, when you choose to send an e-ticket receipt or an itinerary from iMagic's 'New Job' menu, the prepend listed in the first box below the option would automatically be loaded into the iMagic Message screen when an e-ticket is loaded into it, and the prepend listed in the second box would apply to an itinerary. The choices are defaulted to eticket.pre and itinerary.pre, but if you create your own and would prefer to use that instead, you can browse to it by clicking on the '...' button.
